Race description
The running race "For the Future of Children" is an event aimed at encouraging society to become guardians of older children and to change negative attitudes towards foster children. The race takes place in Kaunas Ąžuolynas, with the start and finish near the central buildings of the Lithuanian Sports University. The event aims to draw attention to children over 10 years old awaiting foster families and to promote the services provided by the foster care center. Participants can choose from several distances, and every finisher receives a commemorative medal.

Additional information
The race features three distances: 500 m (for those born in 2014 and later, start at 18:30), 1 km (start at 18:45), and 5 km (start at 19:05). Participants must wear a number on the front of their shirts. Winners and runners-up in various age groups will be awarded, and every finisher receives a commemorative medal. Participants and supporters are prohibited from using transport and personal escorts during the event. Registration is conducted online. The event is designed for children and youth to promote an active lifestyle and social engagement.
