The run for the Lithuanian Soldiers' Day will take place in Tauragė on November 17, and this year the event will be held for the twelfth time. It is organized by the Lithuanian Army's Motorized Infantry Brigade "Žemaitija" Battalion, in collaboration with the Tauragė District Municipality Sports Center. During the event, participants will have the option to choose from distances of 600 m, 1.8 km, 6 km, and 12 km. A total of about 900 sports enthusiasts will participate in the run, and after finishing, participants will be treated to soldier's porridge.

Highlights

  • The event was opened by the mayor of Tauragė district, Sigitas Mičiulis, and a moment of silence was held to honor the soldiers who died for Lithuania's freedom.
  • Although the weather was not favorable, there was no shortage of participants eager to tackle the running courses, including little ones and senior runners.
