This year, there will be no Alytus Half Marathon. Event organizer Šarūnas Klėgeris reports that the municipality has once again refused to contribute to this event, as funding was cut off two years ago. However, runners from all over Lithuania acknowledge that this is the most beautiful distance in the country, attracting several thousand participants. The Alytus Half Marathon was a great training opportunity before the Vilnius Marathon, and all participants received unique medals.
